“I just want the world to know I was here, that I mattered.”
— V, Cyberpunk 2077
Dear VITURists,
This is a note we’ve wanted to share for a long time.
Today’s post isn’t an announcement or a collaboration story. It’s simply a behind-the-scenes look at how the Luma Series came to life, and what we’ve been carrying with us throughout the journey.
Where It Really Started.
Back in 2022, we shared a single image.
At the time, it wasn’t a product, but simply a way to showcase the engineering inside VITURE One, nothing more.
We didn’t expect much from it.
But that image sparked far more conversation than we imagined. People noticed it. Some people loved it instantly. Some kept asking about it again and again. It made one thing clear, we were onto something worth exploring.
That image quietly became the starting point of the Luma Series.
Choosing The Harder Path.
From the very beginning, we knew translucent materials would be difficult.
They’re unforgiving. Every internal structure is visible. Every imperfection is magnified. Yield rates are low, and scaling consistency is incredibly hard.
We still chose that path.
Because translucency felt expressive. When done right, it felt alive. And from the start, we’ve always imagined VITURE as something that lives between technology and personal expression. We’ll be honest, we’re not yet as fashion-forward as we ultimately hope to be. But Luma represents a real step in that direction.
Not louder.
Not exaggerated.
Just intentional.
We hope that when you wear Luma, you can feel that balance beginning to take shape. And deep down, we’ve always carried another influence with us.
The lighting. The glow. The secret energy of Night City.
The light strip.
The translucent shell.
That moment when technology feels emotional instead of cold.
If you’ve felt it—you’re not imagining it.
Making It Feel Right.
We wanted the product to show its complexity, not hide it. To feel modern, expressive, and slightly rebellious in a space that often plays it safe.
But making it feel premium took far longer than we ever expected. We have done thousands of material tests, countless surface treatments and repeated structural refinements. Most versions never made it past internal review, such as this one:
It just feels too shiny, and some felt off the moment we touched them, some looked fine, until they didn’t. Even the launch date has been delayed for nearly a year, just to make it right.
Translucent materials mean working with plastic, and finding ways to elevate it into something that feels premium has been a constant journey for us.
Even Harder Than Expected
— Learning Through Real Feedback.
As Luma reached more people, we learned even more.
Despite all the testing we had done, we still saw reports of cracking. And honestly, it hurts, sort of like our heart being cracked...
Translucent materials are known for this challenge. Some of you may have seen similar issues with other translucent products in the industry. Still, seeing it happen was heartbreaking.
One thing we wanted to make sure, considering the number of units shipped, the issue rate has been relatively low. It is highly related to factors such as head size, face shape, or even the surrounding environment. Usually, it happens when there’s pressure or force applied to the material. Since translucent materials require greater durability, that’s why we mentioned the relatively low yield rate and the need for more rigorous testing.
But that never made it feel small to us. Every report mattered, so we doubled down with more intensive testing, and tighter quality threshold. The latest batches should have addressed earlier issues, and the situation has been significantly improved. We will continue to monitor everything closely.
This is not something we “move on” from. It’s something we keep working on, seriously, and continuously. Because we know every product isn’t just a unit. It’s something someone chose to wear.
And if anything ever comes up, we’ll always stand behind it. We’re always here:
Inspiration
— What Really Matters.
And now there’s something we can finally say out loud: Cyberpunk 2077 has always inspired us.
Not literally. But emotionally.
The way technology carries weight. The way details matter. The respect for players, for worlds, for stories that don’t let go.
Long before any collaboration was possible, those ideas were already part of our internal conversations. Looking back at the post from 2021 from our founder David, it’s clear, we were fans first!:)
The Luma Series didn’t start as a collaboration idea. It started as a belief. That belief eventually led us here.
Working with the Cyberpunk 2077 team has been a dream come true, but even more than that, it’s been a true learning experience. Their world-class design standards, their attention to detail, and the way they continue to care deeply about players long after launch, that’s exactly the path we strive to follow!
To You.
This is a tribute — to Cyberpunk 2077, to the inspiration behind Luma, and to you.
To everyone who noticed how we started.
To everyone who believed in the direction.
To everyone who shared feedback, patience, and trust.
We hope this helps you understand us a little more.
“I just want the world to know I was here, that I mattered.”
